Community ‘Paint Out’ at the Sedona Winefest

September 28, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us at the Sedona Winefest where we’ll be painting from live models and the landscape in anticipation of our upcoming Sedona Plein Air Festival, October 12 – 19, 2019!

Information for artists:

The event is open to all level of artists using oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastels, graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, etc. To participate, members of the Sedona Arts Center register for free to paint or draw, non-members pay a $10.00 per artist registration fee.

Although not a requirement, we do encourage work to be offered for sale and also to put up for judging. This is a great way to gain some experience in plein air competitions with very low commitment and it adds excitement to the onlookers. Artists who wish to offer their work for sale should consider bringing along a frame or working on a finished edge material to pop their piece into so it is ready for the customer to take home and hang on their wall.

Schedule:
Noon: Check-in at the entrance to the Winfest at Posse Grounds Park announcing you are a participating artist!

Then: Rendezvous at the Stage meet the other artists and choose your vantage point and subject matter.

3:30 pm: Present your finished work with the other artists for possible awards and sales. Event judges are Mayor Sandy Moriarty and Winefest Coordinator Al Comello

4:00 pm Event is over! Now enjoy your free tastings with glass and tickets provided by the Sedona Winefest.

Important Notes:

Artists must provide all their own materials; portable easels, panels, frames, etc. Artists will price their own work using three-part receipts provided by the Sedona Arts Center. All sales will be processed by the Sedona Arts Center with artists receiving 60% of sales from the event. By registering you agree to these terms. Only registered artists may paint or draw at the event.
