April 29 - May 12
SAC gallery member and award winning artist Christine Debrosky is delighted to present her sun drenched pastel and oil impressions of Sedona and amazing Arizona.
Enchanted with the copper state’s azure skies, crimson canyons , and beautifully varied desert flora she has been painting the environs en plein air and in her Clarkdale studio since moving to the area 11 years ago.
She has exhibited her work across the United States and Europe winning numerous awards and recognition for her light filled impressions, in such prestigious venues such as the American
Impressionist society, L’Art du Pastel en France, and the Pastel Society of America .
Visitors will be treated to an array of works inspired by fiery red rock and canyon country, the stately aspen groves of Flagstaff , iconic cactus , crystal clear Oak Creek, a sprinkling of starry skies, and the magic of dusk in the desert, all rendered with a resident’s intimate view.
Exhibition hours are 10-5 daily, with the artist present and willing to share the stories behind each unique painting.
There will be a reception on Sedona’s first Friday, May 1st from 5-8, to which the public is cordially invited.
