Here's what people are saying about Richard's class:

“Since I had taken the workshop before, Richard went out of his way to prepare special activities for me to do. I really appreciated that, as I was able to advance to the next level.” - Barbara Collins, Mesa AZ

“Richard Drayton, the instructor, is a very organized & methodical in his approach to teaching the art of pencil drawing, an approach I find very easy to understand.  The class provides anyone the basics of understanding the components necessary to progress using this impressive media for producing drawings indistinguishable from a painting.  I have taken 4-5 of his courses and take away pearls from each & every class.  Highly recommended!” - John Blangiardo, Sedona AZ

“I have found some art instructors to be wanting as teachers, through no fault of their own, even though they are quite talented. It is rare, in my limited experience, that you find a creative teacher who is simultaneously detail oriented, organized, and provides his or her class with a systematic approach in delivering their knowledge & talent to their students. Richard Drayton is one such instructor. Additionally, he also possesses a good sense of humor which adds levity to presentations.” - John Blangiardo, Sedona AZ

“Richard was good-natured, encouraging, and organized. He clearly knows his content (which, again, is why I came). He adapted his instruction to meet the needs of each of the learners in the course. He spent individual time with each learner. The small class size contributed to his ability to be able to do this. As a learner I deeply appreciated that.” - Cris Guenter, Chico CA

“Richard Drayton's Colored Pencil Workshop provides foundation skills for using Prismacolor Pencils. Being able to see the techniques, ask questions, and then have time to do them yourself was key. The workshop was everything I had hoped it would be and then some!” – Cris Guenter, Chico CA

“I like the way Richard adapts the class according to our levels, and helps it to be harmonious.” - Donna Zollner, Scottsdale AZ

“Tremendous talent, great teaching skills, and all around great guy.” - Melanie Lee, Sedona AZ

“Richard was knowledgeable and personable! I could not have asked for more!!” - B. F. Reed

“I enjoyed this workshop very much. Richard is an excellent instructor - clear and concise in his instructions and obviously cares about the student's outcome.” – Alexis Levin, Sedona AZ

“Richard rocks!!! Truly authentic, genuine, and inspiring artist. Can already see myself taking MORE classes with him.” - Jill Redmond, Ph.D., Sedona AZ
